ABOUT ME
Odorski grew up playing hockey & football in a small town in central Alberta. In his early 20's, while attending college, Odorski toyed with the idea of learning to box and eventually competed in a bronze glove tournament. In his mid 30's he altered his fitness journey, which lead him to joining Canada Martial Arts Centre in Lethbridge, Alberta.
Odorski instantly become hooked on the atmosphere in the gym but more importantly found himself captivated with reference to the learning aspect of MMA and what it taught him about himself. Odorski never truly had any plans of competing but with the passing of his mom in 2015, this reminded him of how we constantly need to pursue our dreams and goals, no matter how crazy they may seem to others because life in fact is too short. Two years later with the support of his family, friends, coaches and teammates, he embarked on his first amateur fight at the age of 39. As Odorski gets ready for his 4th professional fight < RITC 63 > he hopes to show people that you can achieve your dreams if you are willing to make a plan and commit to it. A great example of this is Odorski's coach Lee Mein, who has showed not only Joel but many others that age is simply a number and a mind set. This is now a huge part of Odorski’s life and Joel beyond a doubt looks forward to continuing competing, coaching and teaching mixed martial arts for years to come. |
